Instructor: Howard Silverman

In this workshop we will use practical techniques for exploring future pathways and then bring these "images of the future" into our conversations. Participants will develop a heightened capacity for critical thinking about futures: plausible and implausible, desirable and undesirable. We will distinguish between forecasting, scanning, visioning, and planning, and learn to recognize trends, cycles, signals, and inflection points. These are vital strategic skills for anyone who seeks greater influence in government, business, or activism.

This workshop is both distinct from and follows on the previous week's workshop, A Systems Thinking Toolkit.
